Geopolymer concrete is an emerging and innovative material that has gained rapid attention in Australia in recent years. It incorporates the use of industrial or natural waste products (such as fly ash or blast furnace slag) as a majority cementitious replacement for traditional Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in concrete. The purported benefits of this product are predominantly environmental, with reductions in carbon dioxide emissions and energy requirements in its manufacture and production.
