This 3-year project started in 2017 with the aim of improving the understanding and design methodology associated with unbound granular pavements with thin asphalt surfacings (TAS-UB). TAS-UB is an economical pavement type for low to moderately trafficked roads in urban environments or in rural environments where sprayed seal surfacing does not meet the serviceability requirements.
