The multi-head breaker (MHB) is a machine that is often used to fracture old concrete pavements. There are 2 common modes in this rehabilitation treatment, which include rubblisation and crack-and-seat. The major benefit of fracturing the concrete pavements in situ is to allow the construction of a new pavement above it, without the need to remove the existing material, while limiting the potential for future reflective cracking.
