Building on smart solutions
The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland (IPWEAQ) is pleased to invite delegates to the SEQ Branch conference to be held in Logan, 9-10 May 2017. The theme for this year’s conference, ‘building on smart solutions’ will showcase local projects and activities.
The conference will commence with a Technical Tour of the Logan Metro Sports Centre followed by a welcome by our hosts, Mayor Luke Smith, Logan City Council.
We have four streams for delegates: Assets, Adaptation, Technology and Operations supported by a number of keynote and feature presentations including Andrew Ryan, Director Infrastructure Services, Sunshine Coast Council who will deliver a keynote presentation, ‘technology and transport – from horse and cart to smart places’. Professor Jean Palutikof of NCCARF will present on solutions for climate change in our rapidly changing world with a number of technical papers also delivered.
The program this year will include a session, ‘your mental wellbeing’ which will lead into our social function, ‘let the games begin’ – register now to join us for what will be a valuable learning and networking opportunity for the sector.
